This commitment has grown from many generations of employees striving to be smarter, different and better in the way we use natural resources, and is exemplified in the design, craftsmanship, durability and quality of our windows. Renewal by Andersen carries this tradition through manufacturing products with little impact on the environment, reducing energy consumption, and making windows that are built to last for years to come.

Reducing Energy Consumption, Saving Your Energy Dollars

Renewal by Andersen's outstanding energy performance is the result of the Andersen's patented Fibrex® framing material, High-PerformanceTM Low-E4TM glass, and professional installation. Together, these elements can help keep your home 64% more energy efficient in winter and 48% more energy efficient in summer**. On top of Renewal by Andersen windows meeting ENERGY STAR® qualifications for all climate zones of the U.S., Andersen Corporation, including its subsidiary Renewal by Andersen Corporation, has earned the 2010 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award. Andersen Corporation is Green Seal Certified

Green Seal is a national nonprofit environmental organization that helps consumers, both individual and institutional, choose environmentally responsible products. Andersen Corporation was the first window manufacturers to receive Green Seal Certification, including certification of all Renewal by Andersen replacement windows.

Green Seal estimates that if all windows in the U.S. were as energy efficient as those made by Andersen, Americans would save up to 2.5 percent of the annual U.S. energy consumption-an estimated 200 gallons of oil for every household in the U.S. See the Green Seal web site (www.greenseal.org) for more information.

Manufactured with minimal impact on the environment

Since the early 1970's Andersen Corporation has reclaimed wood fibers from its manufacturing process to engineer and test composite formulations. Today, Renewal by Andersen window frames are made from revolutionary Fibrex® material. This patented, biofiber is a blend of 40% reclaimed wood fiber and 60% thermoplastic polymers. Fibrex framing material has superior thermal insulating properties, keeping your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. The result: windows that maximize the efficiency in your home.

Windows that are built to last, minimizing future waste

It's not uncommon for Renewal by Andersen to replace windows that are less than 10 years old. Unlike those products, our windows are designed and crafted to withstand the test of time*-providing superior value and reducing future waste streams.

Our products are built to last. We are so confident in our windows and doors that we back them with one of the strongest transferable limited warranties in the business. Our low-maintenance Fibrex framing material is guaranteed not to chip, peel or rot.* And, since our windows never need painting, they reduce the waste streams associated with the ongoing maintenance associated with some replacement windows.

Selecting Renewal by Andersen® windows gives you confidence that you won't be facing another window replacement project just a few years down the road.

NFRC

To help homeowners compare window products, in 1992 the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) established an imdependent industry-wide standard for rating and labeling windows. The NFRC label shows thermal insulation performance based on U-Factors- the lower, the better. This label shows that the entire window unit has been tested to certain performance levels, not just the center of the glass or part of the frame. Renewal by Andersen displays the NFRC label on all of its window product lines. See the NFRC web site (http://www.nfrc.org/)for more information.
